Marco Orsini resides in the Principality of Monaco.  An American, born in Puerto Rico, Marco was raised on a succession of US military bases in the Far East and Europe before attending secondary school in Decatur, Georgia, at the height of Desegregation.  A taste for adventure and exploration characterizes his life, his career and his personality.

Marco Orsini and The Reluctant Traveller

Indeed, his latest film, The Reluctant Traveler, chronicles a month’s trek across Ethiopia, where he documented an ambitious cultural safari. Lately, Marco has been measuring his distance from home against the presumptions and the pre-occupations of the American news media, which have never seemed more parochial.

Kicking off the No-Go’s project, Marco hosted a luncheon at his home in Monte-Carlo, celebrating Eastern Orthodox Easter. His guests are multi-cultured, multilingual sophisticates, yet most think Marco is “mad” to be visiting such volatile places. While there is some resistance to his working hypothesis, the main objection has to do with his personal safety.
